Adding Codes

Add Two Factor Code Dialog Box

Click the add button in the bottom left side of the extension to add a two-factor code, which will bring up the Add Two Factor Code dialog box.

ACCOUNT NAME: Type the name of the account associated with the two factor code, such as Google, Facebook, Reddit, etc in the first text input box

USERNAME: Type the username of the account associated with the two-factor code, which is often the e-mail address associated with the account. Example: example@gmail.com


INPUT KEY or PASTE QR IMAGE: Type or copy-and-paste the text key code given to you by the account service providing you the two-factor code information. Often a long string of letters and numbers (see examples below).  2! Authenticator will try to properly decode a variety of key formats, however, some service’s key codes may not be compatible.  You may also copy-and-paste a QR code image into this field to pre-fill all entries.
